Uffie

Anna Catherine Hartley, better known as her stage name, Uffie, is the alternative synthpop sensation from Miami Florida, who deals out a great amount of her fantastic hooks to the world, keeping the synthpop scene fresh, one song at a time. Tonight she performs all of the songs that everyone knows her for, performing at this nightclub in the city, two a modest showcase crowd. A crowd who is well aware of Uffie’s beginning when she uploaded many demos onto Myspace. The next year, she released her debut EP “Pop the Glock/Ready to Uff” on a label called Arcade Mode an independent French record label. “Pop the Glock” is the song that kicks off the proceedings this evening with such a fantastic response from the audience, dancing all the way through from start to finish, applauding a great amount at the end of the set. “MCs Can Kiss” is the lyrically racy song that is a little bit like marmite to this audience. Fortunately, every single person in this gathering is dancing and singing along. Exchanging looks with each other that suggests that they are all on the same page.
