Park Place is building the $95 million Colosseum as the centerpiece of a new construction program at Caesars Palace that began when Park Place acquired the resort on December 29, 1999. "With construction more than ninety percent complete, The Colosseum already is changing the landscape of the Las Vegas Strip," said Park Place President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas E. Gallagher. "Caesars Palace built its world-wide reputation by presenting the very best. With A NEW DAY... at The Colosseum, we're creating a unique theatrical experience that will live up to that high standard of excellence."
Based in Los Angeles, Concerts West is one of the world's largest producers and promoters of live music events and tours. Run by veteran tour promoters John Meglen and Paul Gongaware, the company's primary focus is indoor arenas and theaters, which allows for an extension of artists' tours and increased revenue by eliminating seasonality.
