This was a good, fun, but weird show. It was obvious fans came for the old songs, but everyone politely grooved along with the new stuff that the band is obviously proud of. Tanya, Gail, and Chris were full-on energy and having fun. Gail especially looked like she was having a great time and by the end of the night had the crowd believing she was a rock goddess fireball from the sky sent to blow your skull off. Tom... looked like he really didn’t want to be there and although his playing didn’t suffer, he was listless, he didn’t interact with the audience at all, and spent a good portion of the show facing away from them. At the end of the night he walked as quickly as he could without taking a bow. It was weird as fuck. The 25 minute intermission also sapped a lot of the crowd’s energy. They played well and everyone in the crowd had a good time, but the band sabotaged what could have been a great show with an unnecessary intermission and Tom’s unfortunate demeanor.
Absolutely great gig, kudos to The Garage and the band for organising the change of venue so quickly. All the classic songs there , they looked as though they were having a great time and it showed in the music. Missed them the last time they played in 2016, so only a twenty five year gap between gigs, wow. As good as they were back then, nay even better, I recommend anyone to go see them, the new music is great as well!
