Mercury Lounge is a music venue based at 217 East Houston Street, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York. Mercury Lounge is open daily and showcases local and independent bands, as well as more established acts. There is a 250 guest capacity. The building existed as various incarnations through the 20th century, becoming a live music venue in 1933. Since then a wide variety of acts have taken to the stage, ranging from Jeff Buckley to The Strokes.
