Although metal bands can be intimidating, and Texas Hippie Coalition certainly give off elements of that vibe, they are guaranteed to give an incredible performance from their mind blowing instrumental talents, to their crazy hair styles, and dance moves. They opened the show with their track Pissed Off And Mad About it, and from the moments they walked on stage every band member was either head banging their long hair, throwing themselves around the stage, or jumping down into the crowd.
The lead guitarist played an absolutely incredible solo during Turn It Up, and even ended up laying on the floor with his guitar above his head, playing some wild chords. It’s evident that the band members have been working together for many years and spend a lot of time together from the way that they can give each other the slightest nod or glance, and know that they’re going to extend or repeat part of a track.
Big Dad Ritch, the front man, gave a stunning vocal performance, and even if scream singing isn’t something that you’re into, it’s undeniable that it takes extreme talent to switch between that and melodic choruses. They were super enthusiastic and dedicated to every moment of the show, and it was so contagious, everyone was dancing non stop!
Joe Mansman and the Midnight Revival Band KILLED IT. They played two awesome sets of good old southern rock and really had the crowd on their feet! Can't wait till they come back soon!
