Megan Washington after a long absence from performing was outstanding in her return gig at the Foundry in her home town of Brisbane. After being warmed up by a couple of up and coming local supports Megan hit the stage at 10.15pm to rapturous applause from a couple of hundred adoring fans.
Megan's four piece band were tight and the arrangements on all of her hits were refreshed and had the punters eagerly singing along. Megan threw in a couple of new songs hopefully the portents of a new overdue album. An hour and a half later she was gone after a brilliant show. Megan was in great voice and as always the consummate performer bouncing off the crowds energy. I chatted to fans who drove from Toowoomba for the gig but the prize for best punters went to a mother and daughter who travelled from NZ just for the gig. All of us left well satisfied and hungry to hear more from the delightfully talented Megan Washinton.

What an amazing show this was! Megan sure as hell knows how to go all-out and put on a show.
She played a nice mix from her two albums and had a fantastic energy about her.
Megan wasn't afraid to sit on the edge of the stage to sing a few of her songs and even let some fans (including myself!) up on stage for "Rich Kids"!
She dashed through the crowd while singing "Limitless" and then crowd-surfed for the most of "My Heart is a Wheel".
After the show I even got to meet her and her parents, but she was clearly exhausted afterwards. She was still nice enough to come out despite all of this and sign autographs and take a few selfies.
Easily one of the BEST shows that I've EVER been to and I will endeavour to never miss one of her shows if I have the option to go!
What an unreal artist Megan Washington is!
Apart from being an amazing singer she is also one of the warmest people I have ever met. After her show she came out and signed autographs and took selfies. Can't wait to see her again.
