All I can say is OMG!!!! They were great! Awesome concert!I would not hesitate ever to see them again and I hope they come back to Turning Stone or even better, Tioga Downs, it's closer for us! If anyone has a chance to see them,do go!

The Drifters might not have been signed to Motown, but that doesn’t mean they don’t share the same astonishing longevity as many of the legendary label’s biggest acts; admittedly, the current lineup of the outfit is a long way removed from the original 1953 group, but it’s really a testament to the quality of the songs, rather than the identity of those singing them, that The Drifters remain a going concern in any way, shape or form in the present day. Past alumni include the iconic likes of Ben E. King and Rudy Lewis, and it was they that formed the crux of the so-called New Drifters, after the original doo-wop oriented lineup from the fifties had run their course. Today, they’re comprised of a considerably younger group of men, and continue to tour as The Drifters all over the globe. Just this summer, they completed a lap of the UK that saw all the classics brought out - ‘Under the Boardwalk’, ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’ and ‘Kissin’ in the Back Row’ all present and correct - and done justice, too, with a full live band. The Drifters may look very different these days, but the songs remain the same - and audiences continue to lap them up.

Eddie Holman is soul personified and you would be hard pressed to argue otherwise. I was so excited to finally see him live in concert and the good feelings lasted right up to the show and throughout. This was helped along by the fact that not only were the tickets inexpensive, but the venue itself was large enough that it was extremely easy to find a parking space and even easier to find a seat close to the stage. I was a little worried that the stage being indoors would take a little bit away from Eddie's voice because of the reflection of sound against the walls, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found that the building was selected carefully and that the arches in the singing were created in such a way that it didn't affect his singing at all.

When singing "Hey there lonely girl" you can really tell the amount of vocal range that Eddie has and it was made funny by him because he stopped and told the audience that the reason he is able to sing like that according to his mother is because he wears tight clothes. He continues to tell the crowd that he hopes that he doesn't mess up and that even though he is much older he thinks that he can sing as high as he used to for a second time, but to not get upset if he can't. After completing the song he smiled widely to the crowd and thanked them very much for coming out to see him.

After hearing the song and watching him smile I couldn't help but do the same and I was extremely glad that I took the time to drive out and see him perform.

This was a wonderful show and Brian Hyland was the best part as usual. His voice is the same as always and he entertains the audience between songs. His drummer/son Bodi is very talented and shows that he is truly enjoying his music. He also has his wife Ro with him singing background and playing tambourine. A beautiful talented family.
