I saw Orbital live at Glastonbury, and man was it something else!
I was already eagerly anticipating this act, so I prepared myself well before they came on the maximize my enjoyment of the experience. Me and a friend started kicking back brews and lit up a few cigarettes to ensure a decent buzz. We conversed with various people in the area we were standing in, taking pictures and talking about bands that we enjoyed in common. We were somewhere in the middle of the crowd, not too close to the stage, but close enough to see the action decently.
As they took the stage, everyone started cheering loudly. We were excited. They had all sorts of lights and projectors set up. The droning commenced and it was like seizure took hold of the crowd. Everyone was dancing in a uniform motion to the thumping trance beats and complex synthetic melodies. This was over-stimulation at its finest and the buzz was stronger than ever after a few songs. Me and my friend bobbed through the whole set, which felt a lot longer than it was. Time almost stood still for an hour or so.
I would see Orbital again in a heartbeat!
