La Maldita Vecindad are a Mexican rock band who have been together for nearly thirty years. They perform tonight to a sold out arena this evening performing all of their biggest music to date. They’ve dubbed their sound as rock en Espanol, and have inspired many bands throughout the fruitful career since the beginning.
On the menu tonight is a mixture of tracks that were huge throughout the 90s. They open with their hit single “Supermercado” which has the audience in hysteria jumping up and down throughout, and singing along. There is beer and tequila everywhere by the end of this first song!
The musicality that this band have is fantastic with a lot of these songs turning into jam sessions where some of them go up against each other in duels on their respected instruments. It’s all about the horn section though, who dance about the stage in great style and perfect sync.
