Arguably one of the biggest names in UK dubstep/ drum & bass today, Chase and
Status certainly live up to their reputation at their live shows. Since exploding onto the burgeoning scene in 2007 with their debut album 'More Than A Lot', the London-based duo of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) now sell out huge arena tours, such as the O2 Academy in London, where they live streamed their entire show to the world last year. Their success has also put them in demand for collaborations and remixes from major artists such as Plan B, Rhianna, and Tinie Tempah.
Their unstoppable combination of grimy dubstep breaks, creative sampling and intoxicatingly soulful vocals have made the duo masters of music to make you collapse at the knees and wave your arm in the air to (see them live and you will see what I mean; it's impossible not to move to this kind of music). Their setlist always includes some hit singles, such as the hauntingly catchy 'Eastern Jam', the frantic 'Never Let You Go' and the epic finale, 'Heartbeat'.
Having seen Chase and Status both at smaller indoor venues and their huge, crowd-pulling set at Glastonbury, I can safely say they remain as amazing to see live in both settings, and the addition of a live drummer and guitarist to their shows only increases their appeal. With Chase and Status, the bigger the crowd, the better the party.
