Kathryn’s show is every inch the performance art piece as she does not engage with the audience during the show. She leaves the piano only to sip her wine which is placed within a desk lamp sculpture behind her and rearrange the mirror installation which surrounds her piano. She spends an hour playing songs mainly from her latest album ‘From when I wake’. Beautiful renditions of her intense thought provoking songs which enthrall the somewhat art house and impeccably behaved crowd. In her rope cum pyjama pink costume with hair in a bun she fits her surroundings well. I would have liked to spend longer with her given that she is the only performer of the evening but she makes a very sociable and grateful appearance in the bar afterwards and those of us who wait are rewarded with her genuinely friendly presence.
He was wonderful. His own bpm was higher than his music's :) his sound was surprising with unusual beats, he escalated the music so nicely that at the end it sounded so different than the beginning. His musical journeys are so good to explore and participate in.
