Ours is an American band fronted by Jimmy Gnecco. They have been going for almost a couple of decades and have released a few albums to this date. Working closely with Rick Rubin, and his label, American Records, Gnecco released “Mercy” in 2008. One of the things about Ours that has kept them going over time is that they transcend so well, making sure they ride the wave of what is happening in music in the present.
Seeing them live is interesting and quite intense as far as live shows go. It’s all about the audience participation on some songs, a little more than others though. They play through some of their biggest songs, such as the guitar lead, and slightly ambient “Miseryhead”, and even play songs from earlier works such as “Dizzy”. It’s all about their final song “Sometimes”, a song that really put their band name on the map securing a place for them in the music world today.
