Lori McKenna is an American singer songwriter of the folk variety. She has been on the scene for about fifteen years having released music since the turn of the millennium. She has got such an angelic voice that has so much conviction when she sings. She tells stories through her music in such an engaging way, with every time she performs she holds the audience in the palm of her hand so effortlessly.
She opens with evening with a song called “Salt”, accompanied by her guitarist who provides counter melodies to her voice making their sound quite three dimensional, and making such an impression on anyone seeing her perform for the first time. “Rose of Jericho” despite not being the people’s favourite of this set tonight, is the dark horse song of tonight that really is something else. She finishes on the song “The Time I’ve Wasted” which gives the audience exactly what they ordered. It’s the people’s favourite song, McKenna is ever so grateful for the support.
