I heard that movement was good for the body when in a slump. I got online to check out the local music, not ever hearing of this band I checked them out on YouTube. Seemed like good sounds so I got my ticket. I was not disappointed, I danced most of the night and loved the sounds of old artist that Polyrhythmics pulled into their own sound. If you have heard it you will recognize the songs but in the Polyrhythmics rhythm. My gosh I can’t wait to see them in SLC, UT again. But will travel to hear them, that’s how I ended doing a review, I was searching to see if they are near UT. And they are!
We saw Cris Jacobs opening at Château St. Michelle, and he can really put on a show.
He is talented, versatile and seems to have the blues running through his blood, and pumping out music through his heart in the songs he writes.
He is also a kind man; a really good person, who speaks with the audience like one would with a good neighbour. He may come from the East coast, but he is full of Southern hospitality!
After his show, we went to buy one of his CD's, but they were already all sold out! He was leaving to finish the tour that night so we were a little bummed not to get a CD.
But Cris managed to take the time out of his tour schedule and a few weeks later he sent my son and I copies - one of them signed - of his CD's.
We are really looking forward to seeing and hearing him again. Glad to see he made his way back to the West coast sooner than later - he made a lot of blues fans very happy last summer. Should be a great show!
