It’s all about the story telling in songwriting, and this is what Dallas Smith is all about. He spent almost a decade fronting a band called Default, and then decided it was time to part ways and pursue a country and western career. Like so many, he moved to Nashville and worked with songwriter and producer, Zac Maloy who is famous for working with Carrie Underwood and James Blunt. With some of the best producers in Nashville on his side, he took his live performance out on the road and I was fortunate enough to score a couple of tickets for the event.
He plays through some of his biggest songs to date, with a very raw sound made up of electric guitars with a slight overdrive, playing some memorable riffs left right and centre, engaging this rowdy crowd. “Tippin’ Point is probably his biggest song of the night with the audience singing along throughout. It’s a great atmosphere in here, and I would recommend going to see this dude live.
