Lulu Santos

Lulu Santos is a singer-songwriter from Brazil, who has been on the seen since the 80s writing some catchy songs that he performs either acoustically or with a band. Either way he is definitely worth watching live. I have come across many artists that sing in their native tongue. This opening mid tempo smash hit “Toda Forma De Amor” has some fantastic melodies played on his Fender Stratocaster that accompany his voice so well. I absolutely love that he has a percussionist/keyboard player, and of course my favourite thing about this performance is that this audience is singing along from the start to finish, almost louder than Santos is. It must be the most amazing feeling, having that happen. Another feature of this performer that I adore is the way that he plays the guitar. His guitar solos are so well constructed, and instead of it being just about the way that he plays the guitar, it’s more about the way that the band are highlighted, matching the rhythms that are played around the solo, turning into a group effort. He finishes with possibly his biggest song to date, a song called “Apenas Mais Uma De Amor”.
