Aly & AJ

I saw Aly and AJ in San Francisco in June 2018. They did not put on a great show. Their audience banter was awkward and superficial. At one point they did a bit that felt like an ad for iZombie. They had a strange animosity towards playing their older music, which from the sound of the crowd was the reason most of the audience was there.

They played some music from the 10 years between albums. Not realizing they had released anything in that time it would have been nice to get some context on why they had produced anything, why that music never say the light of day, etc.

Musically they sounded fine. AJ kept using her guitar, then not using it, which was awkward because a roadie was coming on stage between every song to service that.
