Martin Stephenson

We had a fantastic night. The Green Door Store is an intimate venue in a great spot and it's a perfect spot to enjoy such a warm and talented man. He was witty and compassionate, silly and funny and above it all he and his band are amazing musicians. Martin's voice is a pure and clear now as I remember it being the first time I heard him (ahem years ago!). If you've never been to a Martin Stephenson and the Daintees gig and you like folk-infused indie with lots more thrown in, catch him if he comes to a town near you.

Brilliant musician and story teller. Playful interaction with the crowd in an intimate setting just a few feet away. I’ve wanted to see him for decades and he doesn’t venture South enough - lucky him. Ably supported on guitar and banjo by ? Fraid I can’t recall his name.

Great gig at superb venue in the North East. Martin as ever had great craick and the band Street tight.
A great blend of classics with some solid new tracks from the new Bayswater Road album.
A true wordsmith.
