Bree van Reyk
Drummer, percussionist, composer and sound artist Bree van Reyk explores minimal, experimental and meditative soundscapes using rustic, self-invented instruments and found objects.
Her work has included commissions for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Dark MOFO, Sydney Chamber Opera, MONA FOMA and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. She has collaborated with artists including Gurrumul, Paul Kelly, Sarah Blasko and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Her solo album, superclusters, features more than 20 guest musicians, including Jim White and Mick Turner of Dirty Three and Véronique Serret.
Darren “D.C.” Cross
Formerly of Gerling and Jep and Dep, and most recently collaborating with Andrew Tuttle on AT/DC (due October 2026 via Room40 / Something Good), Cross performs a rare set of fully improvised open-tuned guitar music.
His ninth solo album, Open Guitar (Volume 2), contains over three hours of improvised acoustic guitar recorded in natural environments including mountain tops, beneath flight paths, swamps, lakes and rivers.
Influenced by John Fahey, Elizabeth Cotten, Marisa Anderson, Bert Jansch, Nick Drake and Davy Graham, alongside Australian artists such as Dirty Three, Ed Kuepper and The Necks, Cross creates a uniquely Australian take on experimental acoustic guitar.
Come join Jetsets for a special night of open tunings, fingerpicking, improvisation and deep listening.
