Findlay Napier s a cornerstone of the modern Scottish folk scene, celebrated for his masterful blend of traditional roots and contemporary indie-pop sensibilities. His music is defined by sharp, observational storytelling, often delivered with a dry Scottish wit that transforms everyday anecdotes into compelling narratives.

His solo career reached new heights with the 2015 release of VIP: Very Interesting Persons, a concept album produced by Boo Hewerdine that profiled real-life characters. He continued this thematic exploration with Glasgow, a love letter to his adopted home, and his more recent project, It Is What It Is, which further refined his reputation as a "master storyteller" (The Sunday Times).

Before his solo success, Napier was a founding member of the award-winning folk band Back of the Moon, where he established his skills as a guitarist and vocalist. Beyond performing, he is a dedicated advocate for the craft itself, having founded the Glasgow Songwriting Festival to mentor emerging talent. Whether he is performing a soulful ballad or a humorous upbeat track, Napier's work is characterized by its lyrical depth, melodic warmth, and an authentic connection to the human experience.
