Yannick Nézet-Séguin continues his Mahler symphony cycle at Carnegie Hall with this performance of Symphony No. 7 by The Philadelphia Orchestra, one of the all-time great American Mahler ensembles. “It is my best work and predominantly of a cheerful character,” the composer said of his ambitiously orchestrated journey from darkness to daylight and the shadowy spaces between.
