The Solomon Gundy Band

The Solomon Gundy Band is the project of British trumpeter and composer Sean Corby, bringing together a cross-generational collective of musicians from the UK’s thriving jazz scene. Fusing jazz, electronica and Afro-diasporic rhythms, their sound moves between vibrant energy and more haunting textures, combining virtuosity with a raw, working-class edge. Their debut album Hancestry, set for release in July 2026, blends soul jazz, sound-system sensibilities and improvisation into a contemporary statement that reflects both tradition and experimentation, while reflecting their elastic approach to genre.
