Mary Bragg and Kim Richey

Mary Bragg was great. She has a beautiful melodic voice and writes her own music. My husband and I really enjoyed her show. She told the back story of each of her songs before singing them. I would like to see her again.

First visit to the Warming House. Nice listening space, quite small, excellent sound. Kim Richie gave a very enjoyable show, with plenty of favorites and a few new songs I had not heard. Have always loved how her lyrics and great vocals are further enhanced by the great accompanying musicians on her albums, but her solo acoustic work was quite lovely, voice in fine form. I'm sorry I missed the name of her keyboardist who joined for most of the set, but he provided a fuller sound with a bit of rhythm, good backing vocals, and a couple of short but solid solos. Kim gave a very personable performance suitable to such a small space, sharing fun anecdotes and backgrounds on her song, life on the road, etc. I've always thought she was seriously underappreciated since I first learned about her, and continue to think so, but know she was greatly appreciated by the small but enthusiastic crowd that enjoyed her show last night. Highly recommended.
