Hanorah est une artiste canadienne multidisciplinaire reconnue pour sa voix puissante et émotive. Son univers musical mélange RnB, rock et shoegaze, explorant la tension entre le connu et l’inconnu, le désir et l’incertitude. Son EP Closer Than Hell reflète cette quête intérieure, oscillant entre vulnérabilité, lâcher-prise et jeu.
Elle s’est démarquée avec plusieurs projets marquants, dont son premier EP en 2019 et son album Perennial en 2022, acclamé par la critique. Elle a également performé sur des scènes importantes, dont le Festival de Jazz de Montréal, et tourné à l’international. En parallèle, elle poursuit aussi une carrière en cinéma.
Artiste audacieuse, Hanorah continue d’explorer et de créer librement, portée par une recherche constante et un désir de renouvellement.
I caught HANORAH and her band live at NDG Summer Fest. They played a good one hour set, mostly originals, with a few well-placed covers. SHE was GREAT! Full of energy, fun personality and what a VOICE! Traces of Joss Stone (her favorite singer, as she told the crowd) and sometimes raw like Janice. She was clearly having a good time on stage. She loves what she does, sounds great doing it, and mentioned how grateful she is several times. They went from full band, to a few songs with her solo on guitar. She writes all her own stuff? Impressive. At the end of the show, the crowd wanted more. Her encore was her alone on guitar, a heart-wrenching blues dedication where her voice really rang into the night air. The crowd loved it!
