Multicolored strobe lights flash over the crowd, illuminating smiling, eager faces and grinning white teeth. Brothers Dan and Phil of the Brookes Brothers step on stage and start to play. Their music floats over the crowd, inciting wild cheers and pumping fists. The strobe lights flash, dancing over the audience and the stage, switching off and on in time to the beat. As the show goes on, the crowd gets wilder, and by the end of the night they'll still be smiling. The Brookes Brothers, two brothers from London, are drum and bass producers. They stared playing in 2002, but were not in the public's eye until 2006 and the release of their singles “Portal/Desert Island”, “Someone/Promise”, and “Hard Knocks/Mistakes”. When those singles were released, the Brookes Brothers were rocketed into the spotlight and soon became very well known as the exciting new drum and bass producers. Now the brothers regularly play in two nightclubs, Fabric and Herbal, and do frequent national and international DJ sets. Whether playing indoor or outdoor, to a large or small group, the Brookes Brother's soulful sounds will have the crowd paying for tickets to the next concert as soon as they get home.
