While both brothers were always close growing up, and began Djing at clubs before they were old enough to even enter them as punters, they didn't think to truly make music together until well into their late teens. Dimitri was more into club and dance music while Michael was a devoted hip-hop head, but after taking a trip around Europe together, they found themselves down in Ibiza for an extended period of time. While they were there they both fell for club culture and found themselves inspired by the sheer amount of great DJ's they heard while down there. It wasn't long before the siblings decided to start making their own music together, moving back to their native Belgium as Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.
While jetting all over Europe to play residencies in some of the most prestigious clubs on the continent, the duo released their first white label single “Cocaine/Eivissa” in 2007. The duo went from strength to strength from the moment that they debuted as producers, with Axwell of Swedish House Mafia personally reaching out to them to remix one of his label's singles a single year after their first single. Ever since then, the duo have impressed everyone they've come into contact with, getting a stamp of approval from the likes of Faithless and Snoop Dogg himself. By 2012, the band had become a commercial force to be reckoned with, scoring their first top ten single in the form of that “Momentum”.
To this day, the duo remain one of the most respected names in electro house, thanks massively to Dimitri's thunderous beats complimenting his brothers vocals. The world is at their feet, and their best days are far ahead of them, and for that, they come highly recommended.
With heavy rock and dance influences, the girls first burst onto the scene with their Play Hard EP in 2011. Quickly amassing almost half a billion plays, they were pioneers in a male-dominated music industry, securing major club residencies and festival appearances. Their rebellious fashion and attitude inspired their millions of fans to embrace themselves, and they formed an obsessed collective affectionately self-dubbed as the #KREW.
With coverage from publications like the New York Times and Rolling Stone, Krewella caught the world's attention as the new age rock stars of this millennial generation. After Super Bowl spots and sold out headlining shows, Jahan and Yasmine were trail blazers for artists in the electronic genre - with their unapologetic female swagger in tow.
With the platinum hit 'Alive' under their belt, Krewella has charted hundreds of millions of streams while they have evolved into a live rock / dance hybrid act. With their versatility in their songwriting and vocal performance, the sisters' work with producers of all genres gives them the freedom to redefine their sound. With the rare ability to play both acoustic live sets and raucous Las Vegas club residencies, Krewella is one of today's most unique music performers.
He is well known for his collaboration with Avicii on the track “I Could Be the One”. The single debuted at Number 1 on the UK Dance Chart, ahead of Baauer’s “Harlem Shake”. The single was both Avicii and Nicky Romero's brush with the Number 1 slot in the UK. It also came in at Number 1 on the Billboard US Hot Dance Club Songs.
Romero began recording tracks after finishing his final semester, while he was working as a bartender. He broke out with his early track “Funktion One”, which gained him the attention of Dutch DJ and producer Madskillz, who signed him to his label Azucar.
Before long, he was contacted by Ministry of Sound to do some remixes on their label and spun a bootleg remix of the David Guetta track “When Love Takes Over”, which went viral and drew the attention of Guetta himself. Since then the two have collaborated on the tracks “Metropolis” and “Wild One Two” and a residency on the A-list at Guetta’s famed FMIF club night at Pacha/Ushuaia Ibiza.
Romero is the wunderkind of EDM, and has made an international name for himself with his high-profile remixes, as well as putting out the viral single ‘Toulouse’ and the track “Feet On The Ground” featuring vocals from the Dutch singer Anouk. He’s been a highlight at major international festivals including Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Sensation White and Tomorrowland.
As well as David Guetta and Avicii, he’s rubbed shoulders with EDM powerhouses Armand Van Helden, Hardwell, Calvin Harris, Tiësto and Fedde Le Grand and is the rising star of contemporary house music.
From his breakthrough remixes for Rihanna, Drake, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, Sia, Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran, Tyga, Ellie Goulding, The Chainsmokers, P!nk, to name only a few, to anthems such as multi-Platinum-certified "All Around The World (La La La)," "Lullaby" with Mike Williams, "Flames" with ZAYN and Jungleboi, or "Creep" with Gattüso, to his collaborations with the likes of Ava Max, Luis Fonsi, Sean Paul, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Lukas Graham, Icona Pop, and more, R3HAB has proven to be one of the most forward-thinking artists in the game.
His work has collected over 9 billion streams to date, including 1.1 billion in 2022 alone. He founded his label CYB3RPVNK in 2016, which has passed 4B streams across platforms since its inception. He is Spotify's Most Discovered Artist, one of Spotify's top 300 most streamed artists, ranked #13 on the prestigious DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs chart, and has earned over 70 Gold and Platinum certificates. On top of that, he performed at the world's top festivals, such as EDC, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Balaton Sound, Coachella, Summer Sonic Festival, DWP Jakarta, and more.
With his combination of innate artistry and innovative attitude, R3HAB has earned his place as a household name in dance music.
Ben Nicky has to be one of the best DJ's that i've seen in recent years. He is an absolute demon on the decks recommend him to anyone. The O2 Glasgow is also an excellent venue.
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER HAD BY ALL
Although Belgian DJ and producer Dimitri Thivaios is often affiliated with his bandmate Like Mike, he does occasionally tour and perform solo. Without the music maker, Dimitri still holds the crowd like a complete professional as he now has over fifteen years of experience on the circuit. He greets the roaring masses with a huge grin as it clear to see that he is totally prepared for the challenge of not only engaging but injected a suitable dose of euphoria into the venue tonight.
With a discography of his own releases and remixes along with the paired efforts with Like Mike he has no issues in filling a setlist with killer dance material. The electro house aficionado is enjoying further chart success recently so the crowds seem to be a lot more familiar with tracks including 'Find Tomorrow' and the Martin Garrix collaboration 'Tremor' as they roar in excitement at the introduction. Vegas knows just how to capitalise on an influx of energy and follows it up with remix of 'Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat' by Fatboy Slim to really bring it home as the screens explode in light and visual behind him.
Sisters Jahan Yousaf and Yasmine Yousaf otherwise known as Krewella have been making waves since they exploded onto the dance scene in 2007. Their infectious personalities and momentous live show that crosses genres including dub step, hard style, techno and house has seen their reputation sky rocket as quickly as their names on lineup posters.
Having graced the stages of Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza, the girls have had quite the education in what makes great dance music and their tight performance has brought revellers from all corners of the festival to see them. They act as both vocalists and DJs as they thrash out during 'Play Hard' whilst the audience bounces below like a sea of electro worshippers.
For a pair of sisters, the girls hold their own onstage and perform with an intensity that would intimidate even the most veteran of DJ. Encouraged by the frenzied excitement of the crowd the girls finish on 'Alive' before thanking them for one of the best parties they have ever experienced and the sentiment is reciprocated by the dancing revellers.
Nick Rotteveel better known by his stage name Nicky Romero, is a Dutch DJ and music producer and is one of the Netherlands most celebrated electro artists. Having not yet released a studio album, the DJ has achieved global success with a selection of hit singles and remixes for some of the industry's most acclaimed names.
It was no surprise the crowd gathered at his set at Tomorrowland 2014 is gargantuan and the waves of cheers were great example of the anticipation before Nicky eventually takes to the decks beneath the ominous pagan sun. The lights instantly illuminates the stage and the decks and complex strobes and lasers shine down onto the crowd who are ready to dance all night.
Luckily Romero is more than happy to oblige with this request as he delivers the hits in the form of 'Like Home' and 'Legacy' which he expertly merges into Calvin Harris's 'I Need Your Love' and Sia's 'Titanium'. The big finale is saved for his collaborative international smash with Avicii, 'I Could Be the One', the DJ extends the track and keeps the crowd jumping and dancing for a good ten minutes before smoke and light signal the end much to their disappointment.
