It was awesome seeing Black Tusk live; This was my second time seeing them! This band is super heavy, and they just rock when they play live. The crowd started cheering the second they came out, and I felt the crowd start to move even before the music started. Once they started playing, (of course) a pit broke out. The crowd was very energetic, but you could tell they were all in it together. The band played great, and they were both heavy yet melodic. The drummer kept a tight beat, and he was singing backup vocals at the same time. I love when drummers are diverse like that. The guitarist would also alternate between singing, high pitched yells, and low growls. The band's energy was highly contagious, and they were amazing performers. The crowd did no disappoint. At shows like this, if the crowd is not into it, it detracts from the show. This was not the case with this crowd, as everyone seemed to be loving the band. It was an energetic atmosphere, with pits and crowd surfers everywhere. The venue was rather intimate, which is really the best way to see black Tusk. It was great being that packed in with other people, and I was drenched in sweat by the end. I would recommend seeing them live, especially if you are a fan of metal.
