Cigarette Mom Rock - gritty, emotional, female-driven soft rock and singer-songwriter hits from the 1990s embodying open road, windows down nostalgia. Soul Filter perform iconic classics from the female fronted artists that inspire them such as; Alanis Morissette, Holly McNarland, Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow, The Cranberries and more, ..as well as a mix of their own 90’s inspired material.

Soul Filter is a Summerside, PEI-based Alt Rock-Pop band, known for their 90s-inspired sound and heartfelt, confessional lyrics, evident in their latest single "Letters To Myself". Fronted by husband-and-wife duo Karen and Mike Penton, the award nominated four-piece band blends introspective themes with catchy, anthemic melodies, soulful vocals, pop hooks and gritty guitar, while taking inspiration from emotive artists like Alanis Morissette, The Cranberries, Sheryl Crow and a touch of Sass Jordan. Their live performances deliver a dynamic mix of original music and female fronted, windows down, nostalgic retro rock pop. Members are: Karen Penton on lead vocals & acoustic rhythm guitar, Mike Penton on electric lead guitar, Ronnie Arsenault on bass, and Andy Adams on drums.
