Miguel Steward, better known as Miguel Migs, is a musician through and through as he started his music career as a guitarist and songwriter in a band called Zion Sounds. Migs really branched out diversely, making over 100 remixes to date, of course he has done remixes for a number of mainstream artists such as Britney Spears, Macy Gray and Lionel Richie. Tonight is all about Migs’ full length albums, “Colourful You” “Those Things” and “Outside the Skyline”.
His music is such a blanket of chilled deep house that just creates such a chilled atmosphere. It is almost as though he is setting the scene of a pool party next to the beach as the sun disappears over the horizon. There is such an 80’s influence in his music, with that funk clean chorus electric guitar.
I would definitely say that there is something for everyone in Migs’ music. There are pop hooks that you could use to catch a mako shark, there are deep house beats for those self proclaimed ‘cool kids’, there’s electric guitar played to a high standard, for those musicians music lovers. Fun for all the family this evening.
