Five Eight has been killing it for decades. Sporting one of the most unique voices in rock, Mike Mantione is the songwriting front-man guitarist. He wears his emotions on his sleeves whilst a microphone is in his face. Dan Horowitz is friendly before the shows and he's the comic relief of the live shows. His bass-playing ain't shabby either. Patrick "Trigger" Ferguson plays drums effortlessly. If you're lucky (or you scream the song title a few times), he's apt to send the band into the fast-paced "Missing Link" with 4 cymbal crashes and transform the night. Sean Dunn on guitar oozes professionality and he is willing to explore space and add multiple layers to standard studio versions.
These guys are just plain sick. How they aren't rich and famous is beyond me. Easily one of my favorite live acts of all time.
Solid live tracks: God Damn It Paul, Weirdo, Karaoke, The Liquor Song, I Can't Stand It Anymore, I'm Depressed Almost All The Time, Missing Link and any cover they decide to play.
