Novastar

Went to see Novastar in concert with my ex boyfriend. I didn't think I would like it, because I'm not usually into the whole single dude on a stage with a piano schtick, especially because I hate slow music. But my ex was into it, so I did the dutiful girlfriend act, slipped on a dress and heels and went. It wasn't bad.

Novastar sang The Best Is Yet To Come, and Because. There were other people playing music, so at least it wasn't just the one guy. The light was all purple and hazy in what I think was an attempt to be artistic. The audience was pretty wild for people sitting in chairs. They screamed and shouted for more, clapping and waving their arms.

I liked Because better than the first song, it was still slow but it sounded really nice at the same time. He stood up and stopped playing piano for part of that one, instead banging his hand to a beat on the top of it, then went back to playing. It was cool.

Not my usual cup of tea but it wasn't bad at all and I would go to see them again, I think.
