Hailing from France, Pony Pony Run Run is a new pop band with a distinct sound. This intriguingly-named band released they debut album in 2009 and their most recent album was released in 2012. Their concert experience offers an energetic and intense sound. They are clearly a “power pop” band combining aspects of both pop and rock music with their own electronic sound. Dressed all in black, the band members present a dark, punk look.
The show generated great enthusiasm from the audience, with a large group singing along during the performance of “Hey You”. The audience always cheered and seemed to be very into the performance. There wasn’t a dull moment in the song line-up and you’ll surely enjoy all of their high-energy numbers.
Their electronic sound offers an up-beat sound that remains distinct from other similar pop bands. Their energetic sound certainly lends itself to live performances; seeing the band members getting involved in their music creates an even more enjoyable listening experience.
