No Joy

The feedback of the electronic guitars linger in the air as the band prepares the next song, keeping the audience in a rock-like trance as we eagerly await the next track. Suddenly, the guitarists rev up and begin strumming their instruments with a fierce and committed action.

Low, mellow vocals and hard rock fill the small but intimate venue. The band's music easily takes the entire audience to a whole other place as the music reverberates throughout. The grunge, mellow sound of their music is as unique as it is compelling. It is clear that these musicians are rock and rollers; swaying back and forth, head banging and singing with passion.

The audience feeds off of their passion and sends that right back after the conclusion of a solo or a big set. I can't help but feel like I am on stage with the band as we go through this roller coaster of sound. The intense yet often soft noise makes for an impressive show of musical talent, ability and variation. Pauses between songs allow for us in the audience to reflect on the music, gather our thoughts and prepare for the next show of musical force that strikes hard and gradual with soulful progression.
