When you think of American R & B female singers of the 90s and 00s, your mind automatically goes to the likes of Destiny's Child and Mary J Blige. However it would be criminal to overlook the seven time Grammy nominated New York singer/songwriter Kelly Price.
She has had consistent chart success in the States with both her singles and albums yet the reason she is perhaps not a worldwide recognised name is because she conducts herself in a wonderfully modest manner. Her tours are personable and intimate, just the way that Kelly likes to perform and although you cannot deny her star quality, she comes off as very down to earth. These mannerisms captivate the audience whilst her powerful, smooth vocal has them applauding like crazy at the closing bars of every single track. The band finishes this evening's set with a silky rendition of 'You Should've Told Me' before Kelly exits the stage to a rapturous round of applause.
