The Return of the Art Demon: High-Octane "Sensing Sensation" Solo Show to Launch in DARLINGTON, UK — After a decade-long hiatus from the solo spotlight, the enigmatic North East artist known as Art Demon announces their return with "Sensing Sensation," a multisensory exhibition launching Saturday, 11th April 2026 at Angels Cut, Duke Street.
The exhibition marks a pivotal year for the artist, who has spent the last twelve months developing a visceral new body of work. Transitioning from traditional methods to a raw, high-texture style using soft pastels on paper, Art Demon explores the "internal noise" of the human experience. This creative resurgence has already captured regional attention, with features confirmed in NE Volume Magazine and House of Zenn.
A Year of Momentum
Over the past year, Art Demon has focused on bridging the gap between visual art and the local community:
Artistic Evolution: Produced over 20 new original works, including a centerpiece canvas, defined by heavy strokes and emotional resonance.
Strategic Collaborations: Established partnerships with Darlington’s independent venues and musicians, including the upcoming live performance with zararuth and The Demon Twins.
Community Engagement: Launched a "Hidden Art" campaign across Darlington and Richmond, placing original art "Golden Tickets" in independent hubs like Crafty’s and Lot 64 to encourage footfall in the town centre.
Event Highlights – 11th April
The launch event is designed as a journey through the senses, beginning with a VIP Private Preview at 18:00, followed by a public opening at 19:00. The evening features a live collaborative set by The Ceiling Demons (acoustic duo set) (20:00) & a performance by Zarahruth (21:00).
