I have seen B Fachada live this year in Lisbon, Barcelos, Aveiro, and May 13 in Braga. Each concert was better than the last and the first I saw was really good. The venue was large in Braga but the show was organized extremely well. It was safe, there were plenty of facilities and the crowd was friendly and enthusiastic. All the bands performing were good, but, there seemed to be a special place in the hearts of B Fachada's fans. His lyrics are unique and sometimes inscrutable but most of the fans knew every word to every song B Fachada played with gusto. He added a encouraging addition of pre-recorded background arrangement taking the burden of all the voices of his intricate music and leaving B Fachada relaxed and singing with heart, as always. Viola Braguesa was left behind this time. At some concerts he plays piano, and guitar, switching the mood. Just because B Fachada fans know the words to his songs, do not think his material is tired or overdone. There are few performers that have such a large body of work, spanning ten or more years. Although, he is only 26 now, he made his first EP album, Ate Toboso in 2007 when he was 14 years old. Viola Braguesa X was re-issued for the ten year anniversary with a completely updated version issued in November, 2018. For most of the ten years he kept up an exhausting schedule of two albums a year. It is hard to know what to expect from a B Fachada concert. However, I can guarantee you will never be disappointed. He is a great singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer among other talents. Each album shows a different stage of development. Each concert is different, and exciting.
