Matthew Good was the lead singer of Matthew Good Band, which s one of the most successful alt rock bands of the 90s. They did a lot in the time that they were around fusing together some complex riffs, some fantastic musicality and some amazing lyricism from Matthew Good himself. This multi instrumentalist takes to the stage wit ha beautiful Gibson acoustic guitar in hand ready to deliver some of the biggest songs he has penned to this adoring audience who won free tickets to this session in what looks like the live room of his studio. He opens with “Rico” a song taken from his album “Underdogs”, and peaked at number 23 in the Canadian charts. He can’t believe his luck as the audience participates in his songs throughout the set. “Raygun” is another huge hit during this set where Good finds himself on the piano delivering an exclusive performance of a version that has never been seen before. It is when he gets to “Strange Days” that there is a very quiet moment across the audience, leaving them feeling full up of this stunning acoustic alternative rock.
