The Bevis Frond (guitarist and songwriter extraordinaire Nick Saloman) have ultimately become the UK’s leading underground psychedelic rock band. Their music is an iconoclastic collision of distinctly British psychedelia, space-rock, grunge, slow-burning soulful laments, even grizzled folk and more than occasional moments of sublime pop genius.

Great Bevis Frond gig at Backstage, Munich

I have been a BF fan for the last 25 years but only managed to catch a couple of gigs - the most memorable one for me was one in the early 2000s at a North London venue with Nick's mum sitting on a chair in the middle of the mosh pit watching the gig. Unforgettable.

The Munich gig was fantatstic with amongst others a brilliant "Stain on the sun" and "eyes on the back of my head". We loved every minute of it and wouldn't have complained if the'd played 30 minutes longer or added in some more of their old tracks (Do me down, Close, Repressor etc.). So good to see Nick, Adrian and Paul on such great form - makes me hope they will continue recording and performing for many more years.
